Crossing Paths
 

When the evening shades are falling
At the closing of the day,
And I’m sitting alone and weary
Just passing the time away,
There’s a thought that’s going to cheer me
When I’m feeling kind of blue,
Just a little prayer of thanks
For crossing paths with you.
So I’m sending you this message
Just because I want to say,
I’m glad that “God” arranged it
So I might pass your way,
Just to see you and to know you
Makes my sky a lot more blue,
And I’m a whole lot better
Since crossing paths with you!

Reach Out

"The Well" is a place where women can go

The women are those, it is reaching out to

St. John's is the church, which helps us to care

And staff are the ones who greet us there.

Reach out to the women and feel their pain

When they think that their living is all in vain

Reach out to the women we usually avoid

Strangers, homeless or the unemployed.

Reach out to the weary who find no rest

And to the young teens who've left the nest

Reach out to the woman who men have defiled

Who was constantly hurt and abused as a child.

Have compassion for all the women herein

Who live with a lonely heart, conscious of sin

The women who are sick or mentally ill

Are all made to feel welcome, here at "The Well".

For "The Well" is a place where women can go

And the women are those, staff is reaching out to

St. John's is the church that invited us there

And the Anglican Diocese that called us to care.
